LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — On Tuesday, AEG announced it has signed a new, multi-year agreement with the Television Academy that will keep the Emmy Awards at its longtime home at L.A. LIVE’s Microsoft Theater.
The 71st Emmy Awards national telecast, which will be hostless in 2019, is scheduled for Sunday, September 22nd and will be broadcast live via FOX, starting at 8PM EST/5PM EST.
Under the multi-faceted agreement, the Television Academy will also continue to host ancillary events, such as the Governors Ball, the Media Center and affiliated receptions at the L.A. Live Campus, including at venues such as the Staples Center, the Los Angeles Convention Center, the Event Deck at L.A. LIVE, The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott Hotels, restaurants.
The 2019 edition of the Governors Ball will be returning to the L.A. LIVE Event Deck while the Media Center will be hosted at the JW Marriott Conference Center.
