PENNSYLVANIA (CelebrityAccess) – The Jonas Brothers made a pit stop Saturday evening prior to their concert in Hershey, Pennsylvania to visit a fan in hospital where she was receiving chemotherapy treatment for cancer.
In an Instagram post, Lily Jordan, who was supposed to attend the concert, had jokingly invited the band to come to visit her at Penn State Children’s Hospital, saying: “I was supposed to be at your Hershey concert tomorrow but instead I’m across the street doing chemo. If y’all wanted to pop in I’ll give you my room number.”
Seeing the post, her friends and followers began tagging the Jonas Brothers and sharing the post, which quickly went viral. Even Pennsylvania Rep. Scott Perry shared the story along with a note on his Facebook page that read: “PRAYERS NEEDED! Our good friend Lily is fighting for her life in Hershey tonight, and so badly wanted to see the Jonas Brothers tomorrow night at Hersheypark, but can’t because of her urgent treatment. If there is anyway for them to visit her, we are lifting up her hopes and our prayers for help.”
The Jonas Brothers did indeed catch wind of Lily’s story and decided to stop in and surprise the 16-year-old. Nick Jonas even brought along his wife, actress Priyanka Chopra for the visit.
In a video shared on the hospital’s Facebook page, Kevin Jonas can be heard thanking Lily for inviting them to meet her and explaining that his entire feed was filled with requests for the group to visit the teen.
