(CelebrityAccess) — A new film featuring Korean K-pop icons BTS has grossed $24.3 million worldwide, breaking the record for alternate content cinema that was previously held by BTS’s last concert film.
The film “Bring The Soul The Movie” was seen by 2.55 million fans around the world after opening in 5,000 movie theaters in 112 territories worldwide, marking the widest release for an ‘event cinema’ movie.
“Bring The Soul” offers a behind the scene glimpse of BTS during their recently concluded Love Yourself World Tour along with performance footage from various stops on the tour.
Directed by Park Jun Soo, the film also includes an in-depth interview with the group, recorded on a Paris rooftop following the conclusion of the European leg of the tour in October 2018.
The award-winning Love Yourself World Tour was K-Pop’s biggest moment in the international limelight, and grossed more than $71.7 million worldwide, including two sold-out shows at Seoul’s 90,000-capacity Olympic Stadium.
