MERIDA, Yucatan (CelebrityAccess) – Global Latin music icon and philanthropist, Ricky Martin has been announced as the headline performer for the 2019 Yucatan for Peace Concert. The performance is part of the activities taking place in celebration of the 17th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Merida, Yucatan.
Martin has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2003 and has passionately sought to promote the protection of children and end child exploitation and abuse for more than 20 years.
The Summit, which is scheduled for September 19-22, 2019, will also feature film screening activities, artistic performances by local talent such as Yucalpeten Symphony Orchestra and the Folkloric Ballet, as well as multiple thematic forums in which prominent personalities in technology, music, sports and journalism including Miguel Bosé, Martha Debayle, Diego Luna, Rafa Marquez, Paola Rojas, Yuriria Sierra, Karla Iberia Sánchez and chef Enrique Olvera will explore the presence of some of the Laureates and discuss different ways to include Peace in diverse social sectors.
