SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess) – Eventbrite has appointed Lanny Baker as chief financial officer, effective September 3. He joins the company from Yelp and has held executive positions at ZipRealty and Monster Worldwide.

Baker will succeed Randy Befumo, who has held key executive roles with Eventbrite since 2013 and served as Eventbrite’s chief financial officer since 2016. Befumo will move into the role of chief strategy officer for the company.

“I can’t think of a better partner than Lanny to help lead the company through our next phase of growth,” said Eventbrite co-founder and CEO Julia Hartz. “His experience scaling high-growth public companies and deep knowledge of how technology platforms can transform industries will be instrumental in helping us continue to drive sustainable long-term growth and value for our shareholders.”

Eventbrite has also announced a number of new hires in its music division. The ticketer has added account executive Luke Cahill, product marketing manager Heather Ellis, digital marketing manager Tessa Morris, director of engineering James Reichardt and music partnerships Jon Wilson.

Cahill started his career at APA before moving into the technology world at Aloompa, a company that builds mobile apps for music festivals. Ellis most recently spent four years at Pandora in Oakland, running AMP (the company’s Artist Marketing Platform) and spending her days talking with artist labels and managers about how to promote their live shows and recordings. Morris was most recently Marketing Director at The UC Theatre, a non-profit, 1,350 capacity music venue in Berkeley, Calif. where she ticketed and promoted over 250 shows as part of the founding team of the venue’s reopening in 2016. Reichardt, who co-founded music ticketing platform, Flavorus, most recently spent three years as the chief technology officer, North America at See Tickets after Vivendi acquired Flavorus in mid-2016. Lastly, Wilson spent a number of years working at Live Nation in NYC and as the GM of DoNYC, an event aggregator owned by Peter Shapiro, The Bowery Presents and DoStuff Media.
