NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – John Fogerty has pulled out of the troubled Woodstock 50, according to The Associated Press.

A representative for the singer told AP that Fogerty, who performed at the original 1969 festival with Creedence Clearwater Revival, will now perform only at New York’s Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, which is holding its own smaller anniversary event not connected to Woodstock 50 during the same three-day weekend. Ringo Starr and Santana are also scheduled to perform as part of the event.

Woodstock 50 was supposed to take place across three main stages at Watkins Glen International racetrack in Watkins Glen, New York (about 115 miles northwest of the original site) from August 16-18, however, the venue pulled out. Some five months later, tickets have yet to go on sale. Between repeated permit denials, the loss of a financial partner and a production company, it has been nothing but setback after setback for the storied festival.

While Bloomberg reported Thursday that the event will now take place at the Merriweather Post Pavilion, an outdoor amphitheater in Columbia, Maryland, reps for Woodstock 50 have neither confirmed nor denied that news.

Other performers still scheduled to take the Woodstock 50 stage include Robert Plant and The Sensational Space Shifters, David Crosby, Janelle Monae, Brandi Carlile, Country Joe McDonald, Halsey, the Lumineers and Common.
