This will be the second time this year that the Rolling Stones have performed their New Orleans show. The band was originally scheduled to perform on May 2nd as part of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival but postponed the show while frontman Mick Jagger underwent heart valve replacement surgery.
The region, which has already been inundated by historic rainfall, is facing the first tropical cyclone of the 2019 season to directly impact the Continental United States.
Tropical Storm Barry is expected to strengthen to a category one hurricane by the time it comes ashore on Saturday evening and due to its slow movement, appears likely to drop as much as 20 inches of rain in some locations.
