LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — Ticket Summit organizers announced that former WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson will be on hand during this year’s conference.
“Iron” Mike, who still holds the record as the youngest boxer to win a heavyweight title at 20 years, four months, will stage a meet & greet with conference attendees at 2 PM on July 9th.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Mike Tyson, Hall of Fame boxer and longtime Las Vegas fixture, to the Bellagio,” says Allison Simoes, Executive Director of Ticket Summit. “There’s no shortage of huge boxing fans among our attendees, and they will have the rare opportunity to meet a true living legend as a part of our event.”
The meet & greet will provide conference attendees with a chance for a brief meeting and a photo with the former champ. Other conference events have not been scheduled during his appearance time, to ensure that any who are interested will have a chance to take advantage of this opportunity.
A native of Brooklyn, NY, Tyson made a name for himself by winning his first 19 career fights by knockout or stoppage, with 12 of those wins coming in the first round. He captured the WBC title in 1986, unifying the heavyweight title for the first time in history by adding the WBC and IBF belts in 1987. All told, Tyson won 50 fights as a professional, 44 by knockout, against six losses.
