BOISE, Idaho (CelebrityAccess) Boise State University in Idaho has announced that its athletics program has reached a naming rights agreement with ExtraMile Convenience Stores, effectively changing the name of its basketball arena from Taco Bell Arena to ExtraMile Arena.
Boise State will receive more than $550,000 annually for the 15-year, $8.4 million agreement, according to KTVB News. The deal is worth twice as much as its previous agreement with Taco Bell, which was for $4 million over the same amount of time.
“We have been working on this for quite some time, and I know this is going to be a great partnership – as was the case previously with Taco Bell,” Director of Athletics Curt Apsey said. “We’re especially grateful that John Jackson and his family, longtime Boise State supporters, were involved in putting this partnership together with ExtraMile.”
