BERLIN (CelebrityAccess) — Germany promoter and ticketing company CTS Eventim announced the managing directors for its new joint venture to manage and collect road tolls in Germany.
Eventim and their partners Kapsch TrafficCom said that Dr. Michael Blum and Volker Schneble have been tapped to head up the joint venture.
Both Blum and Schneble have extensive experience in the world of transportation and infrastructure. Dr. Blum previously held senior positions at Toll Collect and headed the Berlin office of Dornier Consulting, a consultancy specializing in mobility.
Volker Schneble, an attorney and economist, has led development on intelligent traffic systems Kapsch TrafficCom, where he served in a number of roles, including Head of sales in Germany, the Netherlands and Luxembourg and was most recently Managing Director in charge of the German market.
The JV was awarded infrastructure charge commission in December, opening a new avenue of potential revenue for CTS Eventim. The collaboration between the German government and the JV has a term of at least twelve years from the introduction of the infrastructure charge as of 1 October 2020.
