(CelebrityAccess) – Cuban music legend Omara Portuondo of Buena Vista Social Club fame has announced her final tour.
The “Omara is Cuba – The Last Kiss” tour is set to kick off on April 19 in Los Angeles and will make stops in New York, Chicago and Toronto before heading overseas to France, Spain, Poland, Korea, Austria and London.
An integral member of Havana’s mid-Twentieth-Century jazz scene, Omara began her career as a member of pioneering vocal group Las D’Aida. She made her mark as a solo artist with the release of her 1960 album Magía Negra, before later joining BVSC in 1998. Since then, she has toured extensively as a solo headliner performing to sold-out crowds across the globe.
