LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) The NAACP Image Awards, which took place last night at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, brought Beyonce a big win along with awards for “Black Panther” and “Black-ish.”

Beyonce got the top honor, Entertainer of the Year, beating Chadwick Boseman, LeBron James, Regina King, and Ryan Coogler.

“I am honored to be included among all of you and to be part of a vital, thriving beautiful community,” she said while acknowledging the contenders.

Her husband, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, received the President’s Award for distinguished public service. He dedicated his award to the “beautiful women” in his life, including his grandmother.

Ella Mai won Outstanding New Artist, Outstanding Album and Outstanding Song for “Boo’d Up.”

Bruno Mars won Outstanding Male Artist and H.E.R. won Outstanding Female Artist.

“Black Panther” won Outstanding Motion Picture and Boseman was awarded Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture. Letitia Wright landed Breakthrough Performance for the movie.

“Blackish” won Outstanding Comedy Series and landed acting awards for the evening’s host, Anthony Anderson, along with Tracee Ellis Ross. “Power” was named Outstanding Drama Series.

Jussie Smollett, nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, was a no-show. Presenter Chris Rock, who was apparently asked to not “go there” apparently did.

“I have to present an award,” Rock began. “They said no Jussie Smollett jokes. Yeah, I know, I know. What a waste of light skin. You know what I could do with that light skin? That curly hair? My career would be outta here. I would be f–king running Hollywood!”

He added that Jussie should change his name to Jessie.

“What the hell was he thinking?” the comedian continued. “You’re Jessie from now on… You don’t even get the ‘U’ no more. That ‘U’ was respect. You ain’t gettin’ no respect from me.”
