LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Berlin-based Endel, basically an algorithm stuck in an Alexa-like box, has signed a distribution partnership with Warner Music Group.
Endel, which has an Alexa skill, uses various inputs like weather, heart rate, time of day and your body’s circadian rhythms to craft soundscapes depending on the listener’s mood and to enhance focus or relaxation. It already has five albums available on streaming services. The 15 remaining albums will be released for modes Focus, Relax, and On-the-Go throughout the year, with each tailored to specific activities, tasks, and goals.
Japan’s AVex Inc., Major Lazer’s Jillionaire and The Alexa Fund are already investors in Endel.
Note: a previous version of the story (as several outlets had reported) said the agreement was a type of “record deal” and that is not the case.
