PYONGYANG, North Korea (CelebrityAccess) — British singer-songwriter Joss Stone performed an “informal” gig in the capital of North Korea as part of her ‘Total World Tour’ an ambitious project to perform in every country on earth.

Stone announced the gig on Tuesday in a video message taken at Beijing Capital International Airport, just before she boarded a flight to Pyongyang.

“It’s a fine day to go to North Korea,” she said in the video.

“We’ll be getting on a plane very soon to go to Pyongyang…? A place in North Korea, anyway. It’s gonna be fun,” she continued.

According to Agence France-Presse, the trip was arranged by Simon Cockerell, whose company Koryo Tours, specializes in organizing trips to the Asian hermit kingdom.

While in Pyongyang, she performed the traditional Korean folk song ‘Arirang’ for about 40 tourists and guides in a bar Cockerell identified as the Yanggakdo cinema complex.

“Let’s do it again with a full band and thousands of local fans not too far in the future!!” he wrote on his Instagram along with an image of Stone leaving Pyongyang.

Stone has performed in more than 175 countries since launching her worldwide quest five years ago. Recent gigs have taken her to former Soviet republics like Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as Iraq, Syria, and Pakistan.
