NORCO, CA (CelebrityAccess) — The country music-oriented Tailgate Fest is returning in 2019 with a brand new venue.
The 2-day festival, set for August 17 & 18, will take place at the Silver Lakes Sports & Entertainment Complex in Norco, California.
The festival bills itself as the only event that allows country fans to “show up hours before the concert to pop a top, drop a tailgate and turn the parking lot…or in our case, hundreds of acres of lush green grass… into the party.”
The festival’s 2019 lineup includes Brantley Gilbert, Brett Eldredge, Lee Brice, Tyler Farr, Lindsey Ell, Locash, and Raelyn, with additional artists to be announced.
The venue includes camping facilities and organizers are also offering hotel packages, as well as non-music events such as the “extreme cornhole championships”; a jacked up truck competition; a two-step honkey tonk; and tailgate unplugged, which features local artists performing acoustic sets around a campfire.
You also don’t need to have a tailgate-equipped vehicle to attend. The festival offers general admission passes, as well as a stageside pool viewing platform for those with the bread to spring for vip tix.
Tailgate successfully debuted last year in the parking lot of the Inglewood Forum, and its new location for 2019 is about double the size of its former digs.
“It’s a fresh new model that’s listening to and answering the needs of fans. It’s clear they want to experience live music their way, without breaking the bank,” festival co-founder Melissa Carbone in a said in a presser about the event.
