LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) While the glitterati, fresh from the Oscars, arrived at last night’s Vanity Fair after-party, John Mayer decided to stay home – and have his own Vanity Fair party.
Mayer said that he may or may not have gotten an invite to the actual party, saying, “People don’t even pass invites to me because I don’t go most places.”
Instead, he created his own party at home, with a Vanity Fair carpet and Vanity Fair plates. He dubbed it “How to be Seen at The @vanityfair Party Without Ever Having to Leave the House and Risking Emotional Vulnerability.”
Dave Chappelle, Halsey, Diplo and Bob Saget made the event, with photographer Bobby Quillard on hand. Halsey jammed with Mayer on stage. The two have had to address dating rumors, and have said they’re just friends.
Mayer also included catering from Shake Shack, serving their burgers on the Vanity Fair plates.
