AUSTRALIA (CelebrityAccess) Australian police said they were “disappointed” after kicking out nearly 80 people for intoxication at a Red Hot Chili Peppers show last night at the Hunter Valley winery in New South Wales, Australia.

Police said the behavior of some Chili Peppers fans was “unacceptable” and that being drunk was no excuse for breaking the law, according to News.com.au. Police said an entire busload of fans had to be turned away and dozens more were removed from the concert grounds. One man reportedly shot snot at an officer as he was ejected for intoxication.

Attendees arrived at the winery 2 p.m. for a concert that wrapped around 10 p.m.

“Our officers were kept busy last night with several drug and alcohol-related incidents,” Superintendent Chad Gillies, Hunter Valley Police District Commander told News Corp. “Police are not there to spoil people’s fun, but the behaviour of people affected by alcohol was unacceptable and a music event is not an excuse to break the law. In one incident, security officers refused entry to a bus with 20 patrons on arrival due to intoxication levels.”

Police removed 79 people for being too inebriated. Thirty-four had to be moved to a different area within the winery because of intoxication. Police found 44 individuals with MDMA, cocaine or cannabis and they issued 17 cannabis cautions, according to News.com.au.
