NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (CelebrityAccess) — The Foo Fighters have been forced to postpone a high profile gig as the debut act for the brand new Fillmore New Orleans after reporting that a band member was injured.
The Foos took to Twitter on Monday to announced the news, writing “Due to a band member’s injury, Foo Fighters have been forced to reschedule their February 15 & 16 opening weekend at the Fillmore New Orleans.”
The two-night stand was to have included one night as the Foo Fighters and one night with the band performing as part of The Krewe du Foo Broken Hearts Social Club Parade, alongside New Orleans veterans such as Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, members of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and DJ Raj Smoove.
The band’s revised schedule will now see them play at the Fillmore New Orleans on May 15 & 16. The current opening act for the Fillmore will now be Coheed & Cambria, who are set to perform at the Fillmore on February 18th.
The Foo Fighters did not elaborate on the nature or severity of the injury or allude to who might have been injured.
