NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) The farewell tour for Lynyrd Skynyrd, which logged in more than 50 dates last year, is moving forward for 2019 with dates through September.
The 2019 tour, which includes Bad Company, Cody Jinks and Hank Williams Jr. on select dates, kicks off in Canada where the band will be joined by special guest Randy Bachman. It will then travel to the U.K. and Europe for the summer with special guests Status Quo, with Blackberry Smoke joining them for dates in Germany.
“It takes a long time to finish a farewell tour when you’re like us, ’cause we’ve played everywhere,” the band’s Gary Rossington recently told Dan Rather on Rather’s program “The Big Interview.” “I keep jokin’ it’d take 10 years to do the farewell tour.”
Tickets for U.S. dates go on sale to the general public this Friday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com.
