ENGLAND (CelebrityAccess) Charlie Sloth, who left Radio 1 and 1Xtra at the end of last year after almost 10 years on the UK radio stations, has announced he is joining Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio station.
In an interview with former Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe, Sloth said Apple Music is “future-proof.”
“For me, I was, like, I need to be where the future is, because I am the future,” Sloth said. “I feel like it’s desired in a way it never has been globally.
“With the Apple Music and Beats 1 platform I feel that I offer something to these artists in the UK that no other platform can offer at the moment,” he said.
The DJ said that since he left Radio 1 and 1Xtra, where he hosted The 8th and The Rap SHow, he has been “trying to keep a low profile.”
