(CelebrityAccess) — Virginia-based country rock quintet Old Dominion have postponed a series of shows next month while the band’s frontman undergoes surgery.
In a press release, the band said that the shows were postponed while Matthew Ramsey’s leg is treated and noted that the surgery could not be delayed.
“Postponing concert dates was not the way I planned on starting 2019 but unfortunately the truth is that I’ve been playing with an injury for some time now (You may have noticed less pictures being posted of me flying through the air recently!),” Ramsey said.
“Unfortunately, the only way I can get back to the old me is to fix some things surgically. I want to be able to put on the best show I possibly can for you all and, in order to do that, I’ve got to take care of myself. I thank you all in advance for understanding, and I look forward to making a full recovery so that we all rock together. See you soon,” he added.
Affected dates include February 14th at Caesars Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, which has been rescheduled for June 13th; The US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on February 15th, which is now set for March 31st; and the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne on February 16th, which has been pushed back to May 2nd.
Previous announced supporting act Jordan Davis will remain on the bill, but Mitchell Tenpenny will replace Morgan Evans on the makeup dates with the exception of Ontario.
