(CelebrityAccess) YouTube has, without even a whisper, launched YouTube movies, an ad-supported channel that includes flicks like “Rocky” and “Legally Blonde” that may be a response to Roku’s recent ad-supported movie channel.
Rohit Dhawan, director of product management at YouTube, said there will eventually be a way for advertisers to pay to sponsor individual movies, providing a viewer with a complimentary viewing, according to AdAge.
There are about 100 movies on the service, including The Terminator, Zookeeper and Agent Cody Banks, according to Deadline Hollywood.
Walmart’s service Vudu as well as Tubi offer similar services.
