LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — APA has thrown its weight behind the growing popularity of hologram performances with the signing of hologram production company Eyellusion for worldwide representation.
APA Co-Head of Worldwide Music Steve Martin will lead booking efforts on behalf of all Eyellusion’s projects, including the DIO Returns and The Bizarre World of Frank Zappa world tours, as well as the recently announced Glenn Gould hologram tour being produced in partnership with Primary Wave Music Publishing.
The DIO and Zappa hologram productions are currently slated to hit the road for tours in the U.S. commencing in early 2019.
The DIO package, which features a hologram of the late Ronnie James Dio, backed by his live band, recently concluded a run in Europe, with performances in Germany, Poland, Spain, Romania, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Belgium.
“Ahmet and Jeff have a distinctively different take on the visual aspects of producing these shows that I find very exciting,” APA’s Steve Martin said in a press statement. “Plus, I always wanted to be Frank Zappa’s agent, and I get to work with Ronnie and Wendy Dio again.”
“Steve brings decades of touring and management expertise, and like us, is also an innovator and visionary who lives to open new doors and reimagine what is possible in this business. We are proud to welcome Steve to the expanding Eyellusion family and can’t wait to move forward with his knowledge, passion and creativity in our corner,” added Jeff Pezzuti, CEO of Eyellusion.
In addition to representing Eyellusion’s current tours, APA will also collaborate with the hologram company on developing long-term touring strategies for the company, APA said.
