LONDON (CelebrityAccess) Eventim UK has followed the lead of its German contingency and has launched its FanSALE fan-to-fan, “fair value” ticket resale platform.
FanSALE is similar to Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan protocol in that it is a platform to get tickets to genuine fans rather than bots.
“FanSALE is the first German Internet portal specially designed for the selling-on of event tickets,” according to Fansale.de. “With many innovations and revolutionary features for buyer and sellers, fanSALE is introducing groundbreaking standards for private online business: secure, convenient and fast.”
The system tracks the delivery of a ticket directly from the seller until delivery, and guarantees the tickets are authentic, according to fanSALE. Fans also are able to see the exact seat that they are purchasing.
“FanSALE is about Fan First Thinking, we want to make sure fans get tickets for a fair price,” Eventim U.K.’s Dale Ballentine said in a statement, according to Music Week. “We know that sometimes fans cannot attend their event as planned. FanSALE will help solve these problems, and ensure tickets are not sold at an extortionate price, making events more accessible for the real fans.”
FanFAir Alliance’s Adam Webb added, “Research commissioned by FanFair last year highlighted that the majority of music fans would like a mechanism to resell their tickets if they can no longer attend an event,” he said. “They don’t want to profit, just to recoup their costs in a safe and efficient environment. It has been hugely positive to see a growing number of responsible ticketing companies, like Eventim, listen to consumers and move in this direction – and we hope more will follow in 2018.”
