LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Apparently, ’tis the season for Christmas music album drops.
Just hours after William Shatner announced his Christmas album, so did Mike Love of the Beach Boys. Of course, Love may sing a wee bit better of the two, but one still wonders who will complete the jingly trinity.
Producers on Reason For The Season include Sam Hollander (One Direction, Panic! At The Disco, Train), Steve Greenberg (Hanson, AJR), Michael Lloyd (Dirty Dancing) and the Beach Boys’ musical director, Scott Totten. Songs include “Alone on Christmas Day,” “Little St. Nick,” “Do You Hear What I Hear” and “Away In Manger.”
“Music is something that always brought my family together, especially around Christmastime,” Love said. “What is so special about this collection of songs is that they both harken back to the wonder of childhood and family, but also feel very relevant and exciting for a new season of listening. It’s a such a joy to create this music with my actual family and my family of collaborators, Sam, Steve, Michael Lloyd, Scott, and Hanson. We’re looking forward to being part of the soundtrack of many holiday seasons to come.”
The Beach Boys singer recently published his memoir and, in November, released Unleash the Love, featuring 13 previously unreleased tracks and 14 reinterpretations of Beach Boys classics.
Tickets to see The Beach Boys on tour are now on sale. VIP package offerings are available for every show and include a Meet & Greet, the holiday album, autographed books, and exclusive memorabilia.
