LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has declined to file sexual assault charges against Kevin Spacey, Anthony Anderson and Steven Seagal.
The DA’s office released formal declinations in each of the sex abuse cases against the three actors, according to Good Morning America. Spacey was accused of assaulting a man in West Hollywood in 1992. The DA’s office said the statue of limitations has expired and the case did not involve an underage victim.
Spacey still faces several accusations of sexual misconduct. His character on “House of Cards” on Netflix was recently, virtually buried on a trailer for the show.
Segal faced an allegation of assault from 1993 when the victim was 18 years old. The declination states that the statue of limitations expired in 1999.
“Mr. Seagal denies all accusations and continues to stand his ground that he has not engaged in any such misconduct. The allegations that have been made against Mr. Seagal are false and have no substantive material support,” Seagal attorney Anthony Falangetti told ABC News in the statement.
“The accounts of both women are completely fictitious and totally made up,” the statement continued. “The allegations are a disservice to women who are victimized because of real predators in the film industry.”
Anderson was accused by a woman of assault but she declined to be interviewed by investigators, according to the declination. The “Black-ish” star has disputed the claim.
“It’s unfortunate that anyone can file a police report whether it is true or false,” a representative for Anderson said in a statement to ABC News. “The authorities have not contacted Anthony or any of his representatives about this matter. Anthony unequivocally disputes the claim.”
