ENGLAND (CelebrityAccess) Paul Oakenfold has announced he will be the first DJ to perform at Stonehenge.
Details are scarce. The DJ set will take place “sometime in September” with a “hand-curated, invite-only guest list of no more than 50 people.” A blustery press release suggests the performance will occur at sunset.
“I am so lucky to be able to share my music from such an iconic site,” Oakenfold said. “The energy there will be like nowhere else on Earth, and this will be reflected in my music and performance. Despite having performed at incredible events and locations all across the globe, sunset at Stonehenge will be the most magical.”
The performance is expected to be recorded and released on an album called Live at Stonehenge.
Oakenfold has played at Mount Everest’s Base Camp and on the Great Wall of China, among other unique venues.
