NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (CelebrityAccess) – Police in Hamilton County have confirmed that a bomb threat led to the evacuation of a Rascal Flatts concert last week.

According to the Indianapolis Star, investigators with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said concert at Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center was evacuated after bomb threat they describe as “credible” was received.

Confused fans at the August 9th concert were ushered from the building by police and venue security after the main performance but before Rascal Flatts could return to the stage for an encore.

The Sheriff’s investigators declined to provide additional details on how the threat was reported, noting that such information was “integral to the current open investigation.”

“Once the concern was made known, venue, security, and law enforcement personnel took planned and appropriate action for the safety of concert guests and the artists,” the department said in a release.

Live Nation, which operates the 24,000-capacity amphitheater, had previously only said that the evacuation was prompted by a “safety concern”

Live Nation, the concert company that owns the 24,000-capacity amphitheater, said last week in a statement that a “safety concern” prompted the evacuation after the band had left the stage but before it came on for its encore at 10:45 p.m.

Upcoming performances at the Ruoff include a hip-hop double bill with G-Eazy and Lil Uzi Vert, as well as Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper.
