WASHINGTON D.C. (CelebrityAccess) — Corey Lewandowski, a political operator who served as campaign manager to President Donald Trump, has reportedly been dropped by his speaker’s bureau after he mocked a 10-year-old with Down syndrome during an interview
The incident occurred during a confrontational panel discussion on Fox News on Wednesday. During the panel, Lewandowski said ‘womp womp’ (think of the sound effect after a contestant fails on a game show) after Democratic strategist Zac Petkanas recounted the story of the disabled girl, who’d been separated from her mother at he border by Federal agents acting on President Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy.
Following public outcry after the incident, Lewandowski’s speakers bureau Leading Authorities Inc. has cut ties with the political strategist, CNN reported.
Lewandowski has since declined to apologize for the remark and explained that the disparaging ‘womp womp’ was directed at Petkanas and not the girl.
The social mediaverse is also pushing T-Mobile to sever ties with Lewandowski. The telecom had hired him as a consultant as they seek federal approval to merge with Sprint.
