LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Live Nation Entertainment and Oak View Group have joined Elevate Sports Ventures, the sports consultancy started five months ago by the San Francisco 49ers and Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment.
Elevate will become the sales a marketing agent for Oak View Group properties, according to Bloomberg. OVG is a facility management company renovating the KeyArena in Seattle and the possible owner of Seattle’s proposed National Hockey League expansion team as well as owner of trade magazines Pollstar and Venues Now.
Elevate, co-managed by 49ers President Al Guido and Harris Blitzer CEO Scott O’Neil, competes with AEG, Legends and CAA to consult on projects like stadium renovations, ticketing and media rights.
OVG is run by Tim Leiweke, who is former CEO of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. Leiweke told Bloomberg that he and his partners – Irving Azoff, MSG and Silver Lake Management – have set a goal of $2 billion valuation. The partnership with Elevate will help in building, pricing and selling premium inventory in venues, according to Bloomberg.
