BIRMINGHAM, UK (CelebrityAccess) — The Ticket Factory, formerly known as the NEC Box Office, has appointed Richard Howle as their new Director of Ticketing.
Howle has been tasked with expanding the organization’s technical capabilities, as well as improving the experience for ticket buyers and clients, the company said.
Howle, who joined the organization in early December, brings 18 years of experience in the ticketing industry to the table, with his previous gigs including Commercial Director for the Really Useful Theatres Group, and International Sales Director prior to this at AKA Promotions Ltd.
Richard also currently serves as a Director of the governing council which oversees the work of STAR (Society of Ticket Agents and Retailers), the live entertainment ticketing industry’s self-regulatory body.

If you’re not familiar with the Ticket Factory, it sells and distributes tickets across the UK for music concerts, sporting events, festivals, comedy shows, theatre, and exhibitions. Clients include Birmingham-based venues; LG Arena, the National Indoor Arena and National Exhibition Centre, as well as being the primary agent for the Royal Horticultural Society, River Street Events and Haymarket.
