CHICAGO (CelebrityAccess) R. Kelly is facing more allegations, from four different women.
Kelly was the focus of a Buzzfeed article, written by veteran Chicago writer Jim DeRogatis and Marisa Carol, May 4 where two woman accused him of inappropriate behavior. That was followed on Friday by two separate allegations.
Lizzette Martinez said she was in a mentally and physically abusive relationship with the singer for four years; Michelle, a mother of three, said that her daughter was still part of the alleged “cult that Buzzfeed originally reported last July.
Martinez said that she met the singer at a Miami shopping mall when she was a 17-year-old high school senior. She said that Kelly knew she was underage when he took her virginity (age of consent in Florida is 18). Kelly was 28 at the time.
Michelle, a Chicago mother of three who would not give her last name to protect her daughter’s privacy, says that the 27-year-old daughter began a relationship with Kelly when she was 17 (age of consent in Illinois is 17)
Being silent is not the answer, so I said, ‘It’s time,’” Michelle says of her decision to speak out now about her daughter. “I want my child home.”
In a separate report also published on Friday, the Washington Post spoke with six women who said they were in abusive relationships with Kelly. Two of them, Tracy Sampson and Patrice Jones, have never spoken publicly about Kelly before.
