(CelebrityAccess) – The US Trade Representative has published the findings of its ‘Special 310 Report’ on piracy and intellectual property violations, and it looks like Canada has been outed as one of the worst piracy markets in the world.
Canada was selected for its “failure to resolve key longstanding deficiencies in protection and enforcement of IP,” while the organization also deemed its copyright exception for educational purposes a major concern.
The report, which was mandated by the US Congress, also included findings on 36 other countries. The top piracy-infringing nations? China, Switzerland, Indonesia, India, Algeria, Kuwait, Russia, Ukraine, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Venezuela.
