SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess) — StubHub, the eBay-owned secondary ticketing service announced that they have hired e-commerce veteran Sukhinder Singh Cassidy as their new president.
Cassidy will assume her new role on May 2nd, at the company’s San Fran headquarters. She will report to eBay Inc. CEO Devin Wenig and become a member of eBay’s executive leadership team, the company said.
“Sukhinder is a strong, dynamic leader who has founded and grown online marketplaces throughout her career,” said eBay CEO Devin Wenig. “She is the right leader to lay the foundation for long-term growth and continue StubHub’s international expansion while delivering outstanding fan experiences.”
Singh Cassidy succeeds Scott Cutler at StubHub, who recently became SVP and head of eBay’s Americas business unit.
Before she joined the StubHub team, Cassidy most recently founded theBoardlist, a benefit corporation and recruitment platform for women seeking director roles on boards, started in the technology industry.
She also founded Joyus, a woman-oriented video commerce marketplace online, served as CEO of Polyvore, a digital fashion retailer, and she was the founder and & SVP of business development at consumer-facing financial services aggregation platform Yodlee.
Singh Cassidy has also held senior leadership positions at Google, including President of Google’s Asia Pacific and Latin America business for more than five years and started her career at Amazon and Merrill Lynch.
She sits on the board of directors of Urban Outfitters and will remain Chairman of theBoardlist.
