LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — United Talent Agency announced that Megan Spanjian has joined the firm as a senior packaging executive in the Television department.
In her role, Spanjian will work cross-departmentally with writers, directors, producers, and talent in developing package IP and new content.
Spanjian comes to UTA after toiling in the trenches of the ill-fated Weinstein Company, where she served as EVP/Head of Scripted Television. Her post there included oversight of scripted television and acquisitions, and she led development for properties such as Waco, Guantanamo, and Yellowstone, among others.
She also did stints at CBS, where she developed and produced over 34 pilots and 15 series for CBS and the CW, which include Reckless, The Messengers, Elementary and Jane the Virgin.
Her first industry gig was a traditional posting as a Television Literary Assistant at International Creative Management.
“After being on the studio side for more than a decade, I’m excited to become part of an agency that I’ve truly admired. UTA is home to many top-tier creators and I look forward to working across the agency to help develop and cultivate great content,” said Megan Spanjian.
