LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Leading independent publishing company Prescription Songs is excited to announce Siara Behar’s and Eddie Fourcell’s recent promotions, each to VP, A&R, respectively. In their new elevated positions, Behar and Fourcell will continue to oversee their rosters of chart-topping and award-winning artists, songwriters, and producers while discovering and developing new talents.

Prescription Songs founder Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald had this to share, “Siara and Eddie go above and beyond for our writers and creatives at Prescription Songs. We are so grateful and proud to announce their well-deserved promotions and continued leadership roles.”

With over 10 years of music industry experience and seven years at Prescription Songs, Behar has a unique and personalized approach to A&R/publishing. Behar has facilitated chart-topping songs across multiple genres, including expanding the company’s Latin presence. She signed veteran producers/songwriters and 2x Grammy award-winning duo Play-N-Skillz, who had a #1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart with the Myke Towers/Daddy Yankee single “Ulala,” as well as singles with artists such as Dalex and Gente De Zona. In addition to their work writing and producing for other artists, Play-N-Skillz signed a label deal with Pitbull’s Mr. 305 Records. Most recently, Play-N-Skillz is credited as a writer on Sexxy Red’s hit single “Get It Sexxy” (Top 20 on Billboard Hot 100 chart and #6 on Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs).

Further on the Latin music landscape, Behar works with DallasK, who co-wrote and co-produced the 2x Platinum single for Shakira & Manuel Turizo, “Copa Vacía” (#1 for 7 weeks on Billboard’s Latin Pop Airplay chart and #1 on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm chart). DallasK also co-wrote and co-produced Maria Becerra’s single from the Fast & Furious X soundtrack, Te Cura, and co-wrote and executive produced the debut album from Sony Latin artist Gale (nominated for Best New Artist at the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards). Through her work with DallasK, Behar is also involved with bringing other exciting Latin rising talents to the Rx roster including ALOISIO, who has been featured on multiple Spotify editorials, “Nuevo Rock Latino,” “Indie Feliz” and “Pop Rock Latino,” to name a few, and JayM, who’s worked on projects with Marshmello, Lunay, Beéle, LiL CaKe, Brray, Corina Smith, among others.

Behar also represents pop artist and songwriter LU KALA, one of the industry’s most exciting breakout names of 2023. In addition to being chosen to be a part of TikTok’s Elevate campaign, their first ever Emerging Artists Program, and dubbed one of VEVO’s DSCVR Artists to Watch 2024, KALA was nominated for two Juno Awards this year and performed at Billboard’s 2023 Women In Music event. UK production duo Space Primates, who Behar also looks after, co-wrote and produced “Barbie Dreams” by FIFTY FIFTY and KALI; this was one of the lead singles from Barbie: The Album, which reached #2 on the Billboard 200 chart and was Grammy-nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. Space Primates has also written and produced for Katy Perry, Alesso, DJ Snake, and David Guetta, among many others. Other artists Behar looks after include Chloe George (credits include BLACKPINK, The Chainsmokers, Ella Mai, Bebe Rexha, and co-write credit on Macklemore’s single “NO BAD DAYS” (feat. Collett), which reached #29 at Top 40 Radio), Micah Premnath (credits include: Selena Gomez, Lady A, Kevin Gates, Ben Platt & Steve Aoki), and Seb (1Mind) (credits include: YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Victony and Don Toliver), among others.

“I am so excited for the chapter ahead as Vice President, A&R at Prescription Songs!” shares Behar. “Over the past seven years, I’ve been fortunate enough to learn from Luke, Rhea and Katie – who have empowered me to grow as both a creative and an executive. Their leadership has set the tone for our Prescription family and has cultivated a culture committed to providing the best support and service to our songwriters and artists. Watching our team and roster expand has been a privilege, and I am thankful daily to work alongside the best in the business!”

Since joining Prescription Songs in January 2021, Fourcell has strengthened and expanded the company’s diverse roster, especially in hip-hop and R&B. His career began with a college internship at Island Def Jam Music Group. He was then asked to intern at Mary J. Blige’s then-newly formed record label, and in less than a year of interning there, he was tasked to work as A&R on her 11th studio album, My Life II: The Journey Continues.

Fourcell’s ability to spot raw talent and develop them makes him amongst the hottest A&Rs, making a meaningful impact within the music industry. This past year, Fourcell saw significant success with a handful of his roster at Prescription, including a major win for hit songwriter Lunchmoney Lewis, a co-writer on “All My Life” by Lil Durk & J Cole, alongside fellow Prescription writers Dr. Luke, Ryan Ogren and Rocco Valdes. The song won a GRAMMY for “Best Melodic Rap Performance,” which garnered Lunchmoney’s first career win after many nominations.

Key on Fourcell’s roster is the signing of Philly-bred vocalist Fridayy who he signed to Prescription in 2022. Through Fourcell’s relationship with DJ Khaled, he was able to send him the standout chorus of an idea that Fridayy created, which would go on to become the GRAMMY-nominated “GOD DID” and feature hip hop heavyweights JAY-Z, LIL WAYNE, Rick Ross & John Legend. It would also become Fridayy’s first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, debuting at #17. This would cement the foundation for Fridayy as a solo artist and set off a string of features on several releases from hip-hop and R&B who’s who.

In January 2024, Fridayy debuted on the Hot 100 for the first time as a solo artist with “When It Comes To You” which appears on his self-titled debut album via Def Jam. The song officially hit RIAA-certified Gold status (his first as a solo artist) soon after, joining his previous breakouts with Khalid’s Gold “God Did” and Lil Baby’s Platinum “Forever.” His highest charting single as a producer/writer credits on Drake’s “Calling 4 You” from his #1 album For All The Dogs, debuting at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming his first Top 10 global charting single as a producer/writer.

Fourcell also looks after B Ham (Nicki Minaj’s “Nicki Hendrix” feat. Future), Kaine (Latto’s “Put it On The Floor”), Hadar Adora (Le Sserafim’s “Easy,” “Smart”), Snapz (City Girl’s “Line Up”), MizzyLoft (NCT127’s “Love Is A Beauty”) and Baerose, a duo out of NJ who helped write on Fridayy’s certified Gold “When It Comes To You” and Jason Derulo’s certified Gold project Nu King (“Mad Love” featuring Young Boy Never Broke Again).

In 2023, when he was head of A&R at MJB Productions while maintaining his role at Prescription Songs, Fourcell had a part in 11 GRAMMY nominations at the 2023 Grammy Awards. The nominations included six for Mary J. Blige’s Good Morning Gorgeous (which includes Mary’s first-ever nomination for Album Of The Year) and five for Fridayy’s work on “God Did” (nominated for Song of the Year).

“Since joining the Rx team, I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside an amazing creative team that has supported my vision and passion for investing in the development of creatives,” shares Eddie Fourcell. “In my elevated role with the company, I am looking forward to continuing to support and spearhead the growth of emerging writers globally while also helping them navigate the ever-changing landscape of music by creating impactful opportunities. I am passionate about merging R&B into other genres and will continue to be a catalyst and supporter of black music and black creators.”
