DETROIT (CelebrityAccess) – Eminem – aka Marshall Mathers – aka Slim Shady – is gearing up to make a grand entrance into the music scene with his latest single, promising an element of magic that’s sure to captivate the fans, known as “Stans.” The iconic Detroit rapper is set to unveil his upcoming album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), this summer, with the lead single, “Houdini,” slated for release this Friday (May 31).
In a recent Instagram (IG) video posted on Tuesday (May 28), Eminem not only announced the title and release date for the song but also treated fans to a video call with renowned magician David Blaine. In the call, Eminem reaches out to Blaine for assistance, acknowledging his status in the world of magic. Curious about pushing the boundaries of illusion, Eminem explores collaborating on a stunt.
Blaine then casually consumes a glass of wine and amazes onlookers by biting into and chewing the glass itself. Unfazed, Eminem injects humor into the excitement of his single release, saying, “Well, for my last trick, I’m gonna make my career disappear,” before signing off of the call and leaving Blaine to say, “Wait, what?” Accompanying the video is a caption from Eminem, urging fans, “Please do not try this at home. Eminem’s announcement of The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) set the stage for an anticipation-filled summer. A teaser trailer for the album, released shortly after the legendary rapper’s appearance at the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit, took on the form of an actual crime show, teasing a narrative surrounding his controversial alter ego, Slim Shady and a cameo appearance from 50 Cent.
