LONDON (VIP-NEWS) – German-based concert and festival promoter FKP Scorpio has announced the expansion of its exhibition, family entertainment, comedy, spoken word, and special projects business under the newly upgraded FKP Scorpio Entertainment (FKPE).
The rebranding includes the incorporation of FKP Scorpio Show Creations into FKPE.
Headquartered in London, FKPE will be led by James Cassidy and Barry Campbell, who launched FKP Scorpio UK in 2018 with the successful BBC Studios Blue Planet II Live in Concert tour.
Formed in 2022, FKPE focuses on exhibitions, family events, and special projects. Its first major project, in partnership with the Luna Entertainment Group, was the award-winning Jurassic World: The Exhibition in 2023, which sold 314,000 tickets in four months. FKPE has secured an exclusive tenancy deal with the London ExCeL center until 2027.
Currently, FKPE is promoting the Semmel Exhibition Disney 100: The Exhibition, which has sold over 240,000 tickets and runs until June 23rd. Future projects include European presentations of Formula 1: The Exhibition and a new experiential exhibition with a major global gaming IP.
James Cassidy has been appointed President of FKPE and Barry Campbell as Senior Promoter. The FKPE London team also includes Nathan Birch as Head of Ticketing, Daisy Parry as Special Events Coordinator, Suzy Bryant as Marketing Consultant, and promoter Ollie Catchpole.
Owner and CEO Folkert Koopman praises Cassidy and Campbell`s leadership and plans to invest heavily in the sector. Recently acquired Nordic Exhibitions & Events AB will be renamed FKP Scorpio Entertainment Nordic. Founded by CEO Stefan Papangelis, the company has sold around 700,000 tickets in Scandinavia and will promote exhibitions like Jurassic Lego Brickman and Van Gogh Alive in Sweden in 2024.
FKP Scorpio sold over 4 million tickets in Europe in 2023.
