LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — With just days before the Super Bowl kicks off in Las Vegas, DJ and producer Tiësto announced that he’s dropping out of his planned appearances at the big game due to a “family emergency.”

“Me and my team have been preparing something truly special for months, but a personal family emergency is forcing me to return home Sunday morning,” Tiësto shared via social media on Thursday. “It was a tough decision to miss the game, but family always comes first. Thank you to the @NFL for the collaboration and looking forward to working with them to deliver something incredible together in the future.”

The Dutch DJ was slated to perform as part of the pregame events, as well as during the game when he would perform during commercial breaks.

The NFL has not announced a replacement for Tiësto.

While Tiësto has dropped out, there will be no shortage of musical talent during the Super Bowl. Country legend Reba McEntire and rapper Post Malone are lined up to perform “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and “America the Beautiful,” respectively. Andra Day has been recruited to sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” and Usher will headline the Super Bowl Halftime show for 2024.
