NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — In February and March, City Winery will host its second annual series of initiatives for Black History Month and Women’s History Month, respectively titled “Still I Rise” and “Fierce Light.”

During the two months, City Winery will donate a portion of the proceeds from select wine sales to Sounds of Saving, a 501(c)3 music and mental health non-profit that helps to raise awareness and provide paths to treatment for youth and marginalized communities.

The initiative includes a series of special performances through February and March from an eclectic mix of musicians and female throught leaders from diverse backgrounds, spotlighting the role of their voices in the music indsustry.

As part of the initiative, City Winery will produce a custom-labeled wine series adorned with a specially designed label. The limited edition lines will be available for purchase at performances and online, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit Sounds of Saving.

City Wine will also facilite fans making donations online, during the checkout process.

Founded in 2018, Sounds of Saving serves as a resource for people who come from households where mental health challenges were not acknowledged. The organization harnesses music and storytelling as a bridge to overall mental health and wellness and supports initiatives that includes a suicide and crisis lifeline, a Mental Health Action Day in partnership with MTV, discussions, and live events featuring artists like G Herbo, Nick Hakim, and Meshell Ndegeocello.

“At City Winery we aim to foster an environment that invites people from all walks of life into our ecosystem and gives everyone a chance to proverbially be on-stage,” said Michael Dorf, CEO of City Winery. “We are thrilled to celebrate and recognize diverse voices that empower and inspire during Black History Month and Women’s History Month.”
