LUTON, UK (CelebrityAccess) — Festival Republic, the Live Nation-affiliated UK festival company behind events such as Leeds and Reeding, is currently in the planning phases for a brand new three-day live music event.
According to Luton Today, Festival Republic has requested permits to stage the event in Stockwood Park in Luton, north of London, during the Whitsun bank holiday weekend, from May 24-26.
If granted, the event would include both live and recorded music, dance performances and films, and will include alcohol service.
The Luton Council’s licensing authority is currently considering the permit and has heard concerns from local residents over the noise and congestion that such an event may inflict.
According to Luton Today, a noise hotline will be active during the event, and Festival Republic’s Melvin Benn will consult the local community ahead of the event to allay those concerns.
Details on a potential lineup and other aspects of the event have yet to be revealed.
