LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Rising electronic/alt pop artist, producer, and songwriter Kenya Grace has signed a worldwide exclusive administration deal with Warner Chappell Music.
“I’m delighted to be working with Warner Chappell Music. Songwriting is the most important part of my creativity, and I’m obsessed with great songs. The process of writing is my joy, art, and at times, therapy. There is so much I want to achieve as a writer, and with the Warner Chappell team behind me, I feel like I can achieve so much,” Grace said of her new deal.
A relative newcomer to the British music scene, Grace made history when her hit “Strangers” became the first song solely written, produced, and performed by a woman, has topped both the Hot Dance/Electronic and the UK Singles charts.
A native of South Africa, raised in the UK, Grace taught herself the art of songwriting, creating her first song when she was just 10 years old. Since then, she’s graduated from the Academy of Contemporary Music in England and released singles such as 2022’s “Oranges” which has already generated more than a million streams on Spotify. Her other hits include “Afterparty Lover” and “Meteor.”
Her new deal with Warner Chappell expands on existing relationship with the label after she signed with Warner’s flagship Major Recordings, and released her major-label debut, “Strangers.”
She’s also gearing up for her inaugural tour, with shows set for London, New York, and Los Angeles later this year. Additional dates are in the work for France, Spain and Germany.
