ARRINGTON, VA (CelebrityAccess) Dead & Company has announced it will make a rare festival appearance, headlining this year’s Lockn’ festival for two nights/two sets during the Aug. 23-26 event in Arrington, Va.
More artists are expected to be announced tomorrow, with the full lineup disclosed by Feb. 8.
Lockin’ Music Festival, produced by Coran Capshaw’s Charlottesville-based Starr Hill Presents, was created in 2013 and is held at Infinity Downs Farm and Oak Ridge Farm at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, 35 miles south of Charlottesville, and approximately 100 miles from Washington D.C. And Richmond, Va. Last year it expanded to a centralized venue the encompassed both the mainstage and the Blue Ridge Bowl’s amphitheatre.
The Aug. 24-27 festival featured Phil Lesh w/special guest Bob Weir $ The Terrapin Family Band, Widespread Panic, The String Cheese Incident, and The Avett Brothers w/Bob Weir.
