(CelebrityAccess) — In a bid to help keep their subscribers from flying the coop, Spotify is offering its premium members a free Google Home Mini smart speaker.
On Tuesday, Spotify announced that any individual or Family Plan Spotify premium account holder is eligible to receive one Google Home Mini, which retails for about $49.
The offer comes to a close on November 15th or while ‘supplies last.’ To be eligible, your Spotify account requires a Google-approved form of payment, a valid Google account and a willingness to link your Spotify account with the Google Assistant.
Spotify’s move comes amid intensifying competition in the streaming market and appears designed to help the streamer stave off rivals such as Amazon, whose branded Echo Speaker connects readily with their own streaming platform.
