NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) – Universal Music Group Nashville (UMGN) has appointed Derek Anderson as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Commerce. Anderson will oversee the label group’s e-commerce, retail, and streaming teams in this newly created role, bringing over 15 years of industry experience.
A Berklee College of Music graduate, Anderson began his career with SONY Music’s RED Distribution in New York, where he worked on the label management team. He then served as Director of Client Management at Kobalt/AWAL before moving to Nashville to join The Orchard, a music distribution company. His journey continued at Black River Entertainment as Director of Streaming and Revenue, and most recently, he held the role of Vice President (VP) of Digital Strategy at New West Records.
