NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – Ahead of the NFL’s 2024 kickoff, SeatGeek—the high-growth technology platform transforming the live event experience for fans, teams, and venues—is introducing Parties. This new ticket-sharing feature lets fans easily invite, share, and manage tickets as a group. Inspired by reservation apps like Airbnb and VRBO, Parties offers a seamless way for ticket owners to send event invites to a group while maintaining control of all the tickets, making group attendance more convenient than ever. Parties is the first feature of its kind for a major ticketing platform, setting a new standard for group attendance and sales.
With Parties, hosts can quickly send an invite via a link to a group, allowing (invited) guests to create or sign into their SeatGeek account to claim their ticket. Unlike traditional mobile transfers, where ticket ownership is lost once the ticket is transferred, Parties allow the host to maintain control. If a guest can no longer attend, the host can easily revoke the ticket and reassign it to someone else. This ensures ticket security and allows SeatGeek partners to give their fans a more personalized event experience.
After the pandemic supercharged mobile ticketing adoption, search interest in “how to transfer tickets” significantly increased. Parties help improve the group transfer process for fans and provide venues and teams with insights into event attendance. SeatGeek’s research found that venues have visibility into only about 40% of attendees. By leveraging the data from Parties, venues and teams can maximize fan experiences, optimize marketing strategies, and drive revenue growth with tailored promotions and gameday upgrades.
“Fan data is just data unless you make it easy for clients to actually use it,” said Russ D’Souza, President of Supply and co-founder of SeatGeek. “Parties, along with our fan experience platform, Rally, is part of our larger vision to make the ticket more than just a ticket. By improving how we use data, we empower venues and teams with the ability to personalize the event experience, refine their marketing efforts and build lasting fan loyalty.”
Parties are now available for many events across SeatGeek and will continue rolling out for all NFL games ahead of the 2024-2025 season, which kicks off September 5.
