LONDON (CelebrityAccess) – Max Wolfgang, the UK-based songwriter and producer known for his collaborations with Olivia Dean, Blackpink, BTS, and Ed Sheeran, has signed a global publishing deal with Kobalt. Wolfgang recently partnered with Olivia Dean on her latest single, “Time.”
Before gaining prominence as a songwriter and producer, Wolfgang was the frontman for the UK alternative rock band Wolf Gang. His impressive resume includes working on multiple UK and US No.1 albums and collaborating with industry giants like Max Martin, Sia, and Laufey.
Kenny McGoff, Head of Creative, UK at Kobalt, expressed his excitement about the deal: “We are over the moon to be working with Max, and of course, Angus. The quality of songwriting speaks for itself. He brings so much to the party; we are proud as punch to be in it with him.”
Emma Tivnen, Senior A&R Manager, echoed these sentiments: “Max is one of the best writers the UK has, and it has been our longtime dream to have him on our roster. We are so happy he has decided to join us here at Kobalt, and we can’t wait to see everything we can achieve together in this next important stage of his career.”
In addition to his work with Dean, Wolfgang co-wrote Blackpink’s “Hard To Love,” featured on their chart-topping album Born Pink.
Wolfgang shared his enthusiasm about the new partnership: “I’m thrilled to have signed my publishing with Kobalt and the brilliant team there. I’m really looking forward to working closely with them for this next chapter!”
Angus Murray of Headlights Management also commented on the deal: “We’re delighted to be working with the Kobalt team as Max embarks on this next phase of his career. We share a similar vision creatively and strategically, and the international structure suits Max well given his considerable time working in the US and Europe.”
