LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — Sphere Entertainment announced that public voting is officially open for the Sphere XO Student Design Challenge.
The Challenge, a collaboration between the Clark County School District (CCSD) and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), invited more than 100,000 students in Clark County to create and submit artwork inspired by The Sphere.
Now with 100 finalist entries selected from the submitted artwork, fans can vote on one entry from each student group – elementary, middle school, high school, and college, to select the artwork that will be displayed on the exterior of The Sphere, starting on July 4th.
An additional four candidates will be selected by a group of professional artists who have previously designed work for the Exosphere, including Refik Anadol and Michela Picchi.
High school and college students whose work is selected for display will receive a $10,000 educational scholarship from Sphere, while winning elementary and middle school students will earn a $10,000 donation from Sphere for their school’s art program.
Additionally, students from the winning public schools will be provided with tickets to attend The Sphere Experience this Fall.
