BERLIN & NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Sphere Entertainment Co., the operators of the already iconic Las Vegas Sphere, announced it has acquired all of the remaining shares of HOLOPLOT GmbH, a key provide of audio technology for the arena.
Sphere Entertainment made its first investment in HOLOPLOT in 2018 when the two companies first joined forces to develop the technology behind the Sphere’s Immersive Sound System, powered by HOLOPLOT.
Based in Berlin, HOLOPLOT specializes in 3D audio technology. The Sphere Immersive Sound system was first deployed at New York’s Beacon Theatre in 2022.
Following the transaction, which has already closed, HOLOPLOT will continue to operate as wholly owned subsidiary of Sphere Entertainment, serving clients from his current headquarters in Berlin.
