LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Music Venue Trust, the UK-based trade group supporting the nation’s independent venues, announced a round of new hires and promotions that include the addition of Sophie Brownlee and Kimberley Goddard to the organization.
Sophie Brownlee joins MVT as an External Affairs Manager and will assume responsibility for external affairs, advocacy with all layers of government across the four UK nations, and strategy in her new role with the organization.
Brownlee comes to her new gig at MVT from Connect Public Affairs, where, as Associate Director, she worked with stakeholders and clients such as Specsavers, Kellogg’s, Newmedica, and The British Science Association.
Kimberley Goddard has been appointed as MVT’s Fundraising Manager, and in a part-time capacity, she will take point on individual giving, major donors, legacy and Patrons, supporting Music Industry Relations and Community Fundraising efforts organized by MVT such as benefit concerts.
Additionally, MVT announced that Sophie Asquith has been promoted to be the new Venue Support Team Manager, overseeing the work of the UK’s venue coordinators and heading up MVT’s Emergency Response Service.
